Hello! I'm Monica Wendel, Professor of Composition and Creative Writing at St. Thomas Aquinas College.*

I hold an MFA in poetry writing from NYU, where I was awarded Goldwater and Starworks teaching fellowships. My work has appeared in journals such as the Bellevue Literary Review, Ploughshares, and Spoon River Poetry Review. My first book, No Apocalypse, was selected by Bob Hicok as the winner of the Georgetown Review Press poetry manuscript prize. My most recent chapbook, English Kills, won the Coal Hill Review Prize and was published by Autumn House Press.
